GENERAL INFORMATION
Testing Schedule Daily 
Expected TAT 1-3 days 
Clinical Use Useful for diagnosis of pregnancy, investigation of suspected ectopic pregnancy and monitoring in vitro fertilization patients. Elevated hCG concentrations not associated with pregnancy may be found in patients with other diseases such as tumors of the germ cells, ovaries, bladder, pancreas, stomach, lungs, and liver. Results obtained with different assay methods should not be used interchangeably in serial testing. It is recommended that only one assay method be used consistently to monitor each patient's course of therapy.
