Instructions Preferred is Two Aloquots of Serum:
(1)  Allow specimen to clot fully, centrifuge, remove 2mL of Serum and Freeze.
(2) 1 mL Serum kept Refrigerated.
Serum stability: Ambient 8 hours, Refrigerated 3 days, Frozen 2 months

Thyroglobulin by immunoassay is highly susceptible to biotin interference. Patients taking biotin supplements – particularly at high doses – may show falsely low or undetectable thyroglobulin levels. Please consult with lab if biotin interference is suspected.
