| Instructions | Serum should be allowed to clot at room temperature, then centrifuged at 1500 x g for 10 minutes. Serum should be separated ASAP. Refrigerate all specimens at 2°-8°C until ready for testing. If serum or plasma specimens will not be tested within 48hrs, they should be stored at or below -20°C if not tested within 48hrs. Reject criteria: Grossly hemolyzed specimens. Note: Further diagnostic workup and/or serology testing is available upon request. Serum is the only acceptable specimen for these serology tests. |
